World of Weird Al Yankovic

Hi all,

I bought tickets for myself and hubby to see Al in London, and then when Birmingham was announced I decided to get hubby a VIP ticket on his own (seeing as it's only 15 minutes down the road from us! ). Anyway, I had his VIP kit arrive in the post, but just wondering about his ticket. Am I right in thinking he can pick that up at the venue, and he will be allowed in 15 minutes before others? I'm sure that's what the terms said, but can't seem to find the info now.

Sorry if this information is blatantly obvious elsewhere. Just worried he'll get there and they won't have any ticket for him!

The message I got was :

Hi

The tickets for the show are actually going to be held for you a the box office for you to pick up the day of the show. You will need to bring a form of ID with you in order to pick them up. The merchandise is going to be shipped to your home and we normally ship this out a couple of weeks before the concert.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thank you for replying. Still a little worried, but will double check with the venue in the morning just to make sure.

Well I just phoned up PAID in the USA and a nice lady called Leeann is going to email me back after the Thanksgiving holiday to clarify about the 15 minute priority thing. I called the Manchester venue and frankly they were worse than clueless. They said they haven't even had the tour rider there yet and tweets from the Dutch venue make me suspect they haven't had the rider either. I have a nasty suspicion its a bit of a mess. Guy at manchester even said "Ohh we dont get involved in all that inter-corporate smurf..".. Scary

I just recieved this email , not for an UK concert but for the Amsterdam one .

Dear All,
The tickets you purchased for the Weird Al Concert at the Paradiso in
Amsterdam on December 8, 2010 are going to be held for you at the venue.
Your name is going to be on a guest list and you can retrieve your
tickets at the door. You can meet at 18.00 and enter the event at 18.45.
Please make sure you have a photo ID with you.
If your package contained merchandise, you should be receiving it at
your home shortly.

Package has been delivered by UPS today .

Just to let any other VIPers know, hubby got in fine yesterday and got to be front row! Well, when I say fine, the security guards didn't have a clue what he was on about, and he had a bit of a panic, as the box office opened about 6:50 instead of 6:45, but once he had his ticket it all went fine. He was so excited; We can't wait to we see him in London now. And his package arrived too - although I've hidden it from him until Christmas! Have fun everyone going.
