Al's posse?

Yesterday I was listening to the radio and I heard something about Jlo putting an ad out for an assistant and for some reason that got me wondering. Does Al have a whole big entourage if people he travels with. Some celebs travel with their manager, hair and make up people, publicist and the list goes on. Does Al go on tour, appearances, etc with these people if he does have them or does he pretty much go alone? If he does have these people then I bet that he has most likely had them for a long time because he seems to keep pretty tight relationships with people that last a very long time.

Usually at the events I've been to, it's just Suzanne, Nina, and sometimes Jay Levey. I wouldn't exactly call that an entourage though they certainly make for better company than
certain other entourages I could name...

He has a wardrobe person who travels with the tour, obviously. I expect that person also helps with stage hair/wigs. Besides Jay Levey, who's not always there (I personally didn't see him at all on this tour, which doesn't necessarily mean anything), there's a stage manager and a road manager (who would be the general go-to guy for problems arising on the tour). But a personal assistant or a bodyguard (aside from venue security) or someone of that type? No. Al's been spotted schlepping his own luggage. When he goes for interviews or personal appearances, it's Jay Levey and/or maybe somebody who works for Jay if anybody, but often he just shows up by himself (not for the big events like album releases, but for things like visits to radio stations). At least that's what I've gleaned.

Does Jay Levey manage anyone else or does he only have one client?

Last time I heard, he also manages Steve. But I've never heard of any other clients.
I wonder if Jay would be willing to do a chat sometime with us? Or an "Ask Jay Levey" topic? Hmmmm...

That would be pretty awesome, but hopefully his memory is decidedly less blurry than it was last summer.

If he ever joined the forum, such a section would be awesome.

Check out the Al Fest DVD, specifically the UHF Panel for further explanation.

... if you were at the UHF screening earlier this year, you would've evidenced this as well.
Jay pretty much relied on Al during the Q&A, except for the questions that were raised relating more to his role in making UHF.
