World of Weird Al Yankovic

It's difficult to search the threads to see if there was another post that mentioned this. So, I apologize in advance if there was already a topic posted about this.

Al, his wife Suzanne, and their daughter Nina recently posed for the "NOH8 Campaign," showing their support for same-sex marriage. The "NOH8 Campaign" was designed to speak out against Proposition 8, the Proposition that bans same-sex marriage in California. Al, as most of us know, has lived in California his whole life. It's so nice to see that he's raising his daughter to support the gay community. EQUALITY FOR ALL!!

We know Al follows Obama on Twitter, but this seems to be the first overt political statement he's made. Bravo to him for not hiding his views

I have never been in Cali but I do support gay marriage. I love Ellen Degeneres and she has rallied against this too.

Wow, Al's first overt political statement. Not exactly the most controversial stance, though I suppose there are many fans on this forum and elsewhere who will be offended somehow.

How dare Al backs a campaign that thinks putting duct tape over your mouth is a safe way to protest! That's gotta hurt when they peel it off!!!

Imagine if he tried this crap on the Weird Al Show! IMITATABLE BEHAVIOR, they'd say! And to put a precious, innocent child in harm's way like that on top of everything!

They did this quite a while ago. This was shot at the Yogurt Stop in WeHo. Suzanne in fact is a big advocate for this cause. Oh, and personally I say yay Yanks!

:-) I was so happy when I first saw that photo. I think they way they worked Nina into the photo (this was before the TS red carpet) is so creative and innocent.
