It's five hours up the road from here... Anyone else up for a drive? This one doesn't even appear on Alinite27's schedule!

if this link still takes you to the ad for Weird Al tickets (and it probably won't for much longer) - turn up your volume! http://www.ampentertainment.net/

Haha, I just commented in another topic that no one had started a topic for this concert!
Weird Al says he's going to meet with every single person who comes this show...I wonder how many will stay? It could be a very long night!

This link will take you directly to the ticket sale page.

I would really love to go to this show, but I can't do a 7 hour drive. I've committed to stay around home this weekend, in case my dad needs anything.

Have fun, Nancy!

Someday we will get to meet each other, Nancy! :)

I just saw this posted on the AMP Entertainment page:
Everyone who buys a ticket to see "Weird Al" Yankovic will get a Free Comp Ticket the night of the show to see the Comedy Legend Gallagher at the Westcott Theater in Syracuse on July 8.

I just noticed that they also posted Al's tweet on that page:
Weird Al Twittered:

"I will sign autographs or take pics with EVERY SINGLE PERSON that comes to my show in Watertown, NY on Monday."
So, not only will the people on Twitter and this forum know about the public meet & greet, but anyone who buys tickets through that site will know, as long as they notice that annoucement just below the link to buy tickets.

Yeah, this one was just way too far out of the way...just didn't make any sense to go to. As much as I would love to, to help Al out...since I'm guessing tickets aren't selling too well. I think it will be interesting to see how they handle this Meet-N'-Greet...I'm wondering if it's even one where you have to wait by the bus or Al's just going to take everyone as a backstage pass guest. I would think it would be the latter with that advertisement. Hopefully for Al's ticket-selling sake, it will be a very long meet line...

Have fun Nancy...you may be the only one there...since even I'm not going...haha!

My guess is that security will block off an area inside the arena, and they'll set up a table for Al. There's no need to bring people backstage, or to some secured area, since everyone is invited to stay.

They just announced that the meet and greet will be at the bus after the show. Lots of people in costume, it's a fun crowd!

As I mentioned, a general announcement was made early in the evening that anyone who wanted to meet Al after the show should line up at the bus. There were hundreds of people waiting to meet Al. I have no idea if it's even over now... I didn't wait around, figuring Al didn't need another body in that line! The show was great, the crowd really enjoyed it, and the songs of choice were Frank's 2000" TV and You Don't Love Me Anymore. No representatives from the 501st. Al did extensive research to learn that the song everyone in Watertown really wanted to hear was Let Me Be Your Hog.

Sorry, not much of a review, but as I've been reminded a few times, it's always the SAME SHOW. :)
