Hi, I'm Dingo and I won't be attending Al fest.
I live 3000 miles away from the event, and even if I could afford to attend, as several of you know, personal reasons are making it impossible for me to even consider something like that at the moment.
But I'm not alone.....many newbie fans as well as well known Al Fans alike will not be able to attend for various reasons. And maybe some of you just don't wanna go anyway (In which case, we don't wanna hear from you, because you're clearly insane.....whaddya thinking?
).
The event is still a good 3 1/2 months away, but by starting this topic this far in advance, we can get a healthy grip on how us Al Festless fans can cope with the eventual dark day, and who will be sharing in our grief.
There are two rules to our group
1). Al Fest and attendees are only allowed to post here in this topic for either shows of pity and support or news involving web streams or things of that nature. Any gloating will result in severe penalties. (Well maybe not, but remember, I'm a mod....I can trash any post that I feel is rubbing it in if I want )
2). If by chance you do get to go to Al Fest after previously believing you weren't, you are immediately stripped of your membership in the group. In the highly unlikely event this happens to me, I will resign immediately as the leader (Yes, I called it....no takebacks).
So, let's hear from you! I know, as someone who frequently chats via Twitter with many who are going, hearing these talks are insufferable at times. Introduce yourself, give us as little or as much as you want about why you can't attend, express your rage, wish personal harm to attendee....ok, don't go that far, but you know what I mean. Basically, don't let our jealousy clog up the official topic.
We'll do our best to get us less-fortunate Al Fans through this tough time in Al fandom
