Hey I took the T.I. and Eminem instrumentals and made CDG karaoke files for "Whatever You Like" and "Couch Potato". The lyrics files are home-made so they're not perfect but they're very close. I might make more sometime since I have instrumentals from several other artists that Weird Al has made parodies of that I don't think have karaoke versions out anywhere.

I had to repeat part of the Eminem instrumental so I don't think it sounded quite right.

For the ignorant, here's info on the CDG format. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD%2BG

I suggest playing these files in WinAmp with the CDG plugin http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details/141804 but VLC Media Player has also added some crappy half-done CDG support lately.

All mirrors point to the same file. Use 7-zip to open. http://7-zip.org/

It was a nice try, and the lyrics are mostly synced up.
(or at least the first few lines, didn't check the whole thing.)

a major problem is that each line goes too fast.
They don't follow the song.
It makes you think you have to sing really fast.

So.. yeah. Nice try.

I am not going to sync up every word. I have no time for such an involved project. Every line is mostly synced up, and there's never a point where the words you need to sing next aren't on screen. If you generally know the song there shouldn't be a problem :) If anyone else wants to give it a try, be my guest :)

why did you bother at all if you only were going to half-ass it?

Chill it?

I'm just saying, that if you're trying to do a karaoke thing, and then you say that you wouldn't want to put in the time to do it actually decent, then what was the point to do anything at all?

It'd be like Al coming up with a parody to a song and not really having any interesting words, and none of it fits with the original song.

It's like "Al, why bother?"

Having a CDG track that's only synced line by line is better than having none at all. I made these for my own and my friend(s) convenience at parties, not to impress you with the quality. If you want to spend your life syncing up each individual word, good for you.
