I love the way Weird Al concerts are right now, but I was wondering if Weird Al would ever do another concert with just the music instead of all the costume changes. I would love to see Weird Al in a smaller venue doing this, even though I know it doesn't make financial sense with the demand for tickets. Something a lot of bands in Lubbock (where I used to live) do is play a concert in a bigger venue, and then later that night (at 11 or even midnight) play in a very large bar. I don't know, I guess I'm rambling, but I would love to see this.

That might be fun too see. He'd probably do more songs, and interact with the audience more, maybe even take a song request. It would be cool, but I don't think it wold happen.

Yeah, I doubt it too. Though I'd love to see Al interact and having fun with the audience, but that looks a lot like a stand-up comedy, and I noticed Al doesn't like any variation of it; I think he likes more non-improvised, impeccably written before stuff. Oh, and didn't he do small concerts without costume changes even during the BHD era???

Not even standup really, maybe a one-liner or two now and then like he does now. I just crave a show more like a regular rock show at some point. I saw Powerman 5000 in a bar and it was awesome.

in the 1984 tour, Al talked to the audience a lot more then he did on any tour. a concert with no costume changes would add about time for 4 more songs.

But it would also take away all of the videos Al plays during the changes, and those are always really funny.

Hopefully that will change within a year or two.

I would GLADLY trade out all of the video clips for four more LIVE songs...

Oh and also, this would allow for more improvisation. Instead of having to sync with the video, they could throw in solo's now and then. I would love to see a real drum solo by Bermuda.
