Hey, wasn't sure if this was supposed to go into this forum, or the International forum. Anyway, Weird Al gave a special message to Chris Moyles on his Radio show this morning.

It can be listened to again on the website here. Its about 2 hours 15 minute into the broadcast I think.

It's only a short message but I thought i'd share the information here incase you guys didn't know about it already.

Does he say anything worth hearing or will I go to all this trouble just to hear him say "This is Weird Al Yankovic and you're listening to the BBC"

I was just about to hear the mesage, which is supposedly about 52 seconds, when the player cut out. I don't think it's too big a hassle, though. You can forward the program 15 minutes at a time, which makes it easier. I'm working on getting the player to work for me. I think it's actually a message to the radio host, not just a station ID.

Its Al giving a message to Chris Moyles, who is a fan of Weird Al. Weird Al just mentions about hopefully getting over to the UK next year to tour for the first time. Other than that there's not much information or anything, just a nice christmas message for Chris.

I was finally able to hear the message. I thought it was cute. The dj mentioned that Al had kind of a high voice for a grown man. And yes, they did play part of White and Nerdy, interspersed with a few voice samples of Al saying "Hey, Chris!" in that high-pitched voice the dj mentioned. Chris really seemed to enjoy getting that message, and thanked the others in the booth with him.

I managed to hear the message too and it was really nice to hear Al on British radio. I'm also glad that the radio crew gave his songs air play! My brother remembers when Al gave an interview on another radio station (I think it was Capital Radio) many years ago at the time of "Eat It", and he really enjoyed it - too bad it wasn't recorded!
