This morning KNX radio did an interview with Al beginning at about 8AM. Their interviews usually run 5 munutes or so. However, one of their senior members Randy [their producer?] is also a Cal Poly alum and was also a DJ at KCPR at the same time as Al; also, it turns out much of the KNX news radio staff is composed of Al fans. Randy filmed the "My Bologna" video Easter egg on the Ultimate Video DVD. The interview expanded out to the entire hour. No new revelations but one fun quote about SOL:

"It's my first top 10 album in 27 years in my career."

The host remarked about seeing Al at the OC fair and that the fans knew when to stand, do movements, etc. Al commented about those of us who travel around to concerts "like the Grateful Dead. I do concerts all over and I see the same people in the first three rows." The interviewers brought up the Star; Al again said he was very touched that so many fans had gone to that effort and that that meant more than the star itself.

A fun listen.

Cheers, Diva
Now back to your usual programming...

His hair looks even shorter in that picture. It also looks like it's more frizzy for some reason. Nice pic, though.

Well, it is a kinda small pic. Maybe the frizziness makes his hair look shorter. I don't think it's any shorter than it was when he was on Much Music just a few days ago.

Yeah, I was surprised Al didn't correct him. In fact, they played the song a second time, and he still didn't say anything.

(Speaking as one of those who frequents the front 3 rows)...I wonder if he thinks we're crazy?
