Bermuda,

Is any of your work with the group Lousy Little Gods available on CD???? (I know you can answer this because it relates only to you...)

They had a CD out (sans drummer) before I came along, and although I did a few new recordings with them, none of it ever surfaced. In fact, part of that included adding drums to some of the tracks on the existing CD, but the group went on hiatus while I did the Bad Hair Tour, and didn't reform once I returned.

Too bad, they were a good group with GREAT songs, sort of along the lines of Matchbox 20, but a few years ahead of them. Unfortunately, none of the guys moved forward with any of that material.

Same situation with Parking Lot (aka Painting Over Picasso) who was way ahead of their time in the mid/late 90s, but only had minor success with a Europe-only CD before disbanding. I watched some early live videos with them, and it's hard to imagine nobody picked them up.

I don't mean to be clueless, but who are you talking about? I assume it was one of your former bands, bermuda?

LLG and Parking Lot were two of many bands I was involved with, and that I'm particularly proud of. I thought they both had tremendous potential, but as with many artists and groups who are ahead of their time, they both dissolved with little commercial success.

The only other guy from my drumming past who's really hung in there is Rip Masters, who I started playing drums with in 1981. You can get more info on him at http://www.ripmasters.com

You should put out a CD compilation of side work you guys have done outside the band...you with LLG and Parking lot, Jim's Hawaiian guitar music, Steve's world music and the scores to his endless number of PBS specials, etc. I seem to remember you saying once on the main site you were doing a compilation on yourself... :P

That would be really diverse compilation, sort of like putting Sinatra, the The Turtles, and Metallica all on one disc!! I don't know how much appeal such a compilation would have, and Jim's & Steve's work is readily available through their sites.

Besides Al, the only stuff I've recorded that ever escaped was with Rip Masters, Jim Silvers, and Ray Campi, the bulk of which would be considered country, bluegrass, and rockabilly, and those aren't hard to find. I do have plenty of rockin demos, but they're not mine to release. :(
