Hello everyone. I was just listening to Jurassic Park, and realised that it didn't seem to have it's own topic yet. So...here we are. Does anyone else here think the vocals are awesome on this song, or is it just me? ((I also love the vocals on Frank's 2000" TV, but that HAS a topic, I think.))
Are we playin' horseshoes, honey? No, I don't think we are...

I think this is one of Al's parodies that sounds A LOT better than the original! Both musically and vocally, this song is much, much better than the original. The lyrics are great, too! I also love what Al did with the musical interlude. One of the best parodies in his catalogue, IMO. Extra points go to parodying a story by my favorite author, Michael Crichton.
BTW, here's a piece of trivia for y'all. The font in which Al's name is written on the "Alapalooza" cover is done in the exact same style as Michael Crichton's name is USUALLY written on the cover of his novels.

I've found Jarassic Park was one of the few bright spoys on an otherwise below par ALbum. I found the lyrics incredibly clever and funny, along with the musical interlude that Jeromy just pointed out.
Of course, the video doesn't hurt, either.

One of my favorite Al songs and videos. Musically, vocally, lyrically...it's all great.
One thing I find interesting, though, is that unlike some of the later parodies about movies, this one doesn't seem to refer to many specific events in the film or book as much. There are a few, like the tyrannosaurus eating the lawyer, but overall, it seems like he's singing about the basic concept of the story, unlike, say, TSB, where he recites pretty much the whole plot.
But I still love the song.

Other than "Living with a Hernia" it's probably my least favorite lead single. I love the video though.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

Eh, besides Skip It it's my least favorite lead single. I mean, the video was INCERDIBLE, don't get me wrong. It's just the interlude at the middle is too long.
The interlude.........
wasn't........ quite...........
