So, how many of you have been lucky enough to hear this song? Well, for those of you who havent, I listened very closely to the song, and typed out the lyrics. I decided to post this, because I've never seen it on ANY website before, and I thought you guys would like to read the lyrics for the song! Also I thought this would make a good discussion topic.

Is it the same sort of thing like Money for Nothing / Beverly Hillbillies?

Um, I think it's the Beverly Hillbillies theme sung to the tune of the Rolling Stones "Miss You". So, sorta, yeah.

I wonder how many other rock songs would work with the Beverly Hillbillies theme song.

Does anyone know why "Beverly Hillbillies/Miss You" was never released? I mean it's not like Al has trouble getting permission from Mick Jaggar - "Hot Rocks Polka," "Toothless People," "Polkas on 45," "Polka Party," "Hooked on Polkas."

I think Al touches on that during the commentary on the UHF dvd. He also did something with a Prince's "Let's Go Crazy". Al said he did the Miss You song in concert at college coffeehouses. So, maybe it wasn't released because of limited exposure. Or maybe because he just did it for fun. You have to remember, this was just Al and Joel Miller. It would be cool to hear, though.

Of course, bootleg tapes DID exsist back then. But hey, IMHO, if it's an unreleased Al song, you can download it.

?? Why did you mention the bathroom version of My Bologna? You can hear that if you get the Permanent Reciord collection. There was also a placebo EP with several demos of Al's songs on it. Jusy trying to figure out what you're getting at, moap.

I mean that I think really obscure songs like "Fatter" could be downloaded, but not MB:OBV or any special versions of ALbum songs. (IE: AORTB live on Dr. Demento in 1980 is NOT legal to download IMHO.)
