So, how many of you have been lucky enough to hear this song? Well, for those of you who havent, I listened very closely to the song, and typed out the lyrics. I decided to post this, because I've never seen it on ANY website before, and I thought you guys would like to read the lyrics for the song! Also I thought this would make a good discussion topic.
----
Beverly Hillbillies / Miss You
Live at Cal Poly in 1979
With Al on Accordion, and Joel Miller on bongo drums
Come and listen while I tell
You about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer
But he kept a family fed
Hey!
Come listen to me now while I tell you a story
About a man named Jed
Tell yall somethin
Hes a poor mountaineer
But he kept his family fed!
Chord change!
Then one day he was shootin at some food
When up near the ground came a bubblin crude
Oil that is! Black gold!
Then the next thing you know
Old Jeds a millionaire
Keep away
Chh chh chh
Keep you away from there!
(whispering)
Said Californias the place you outta be
So they loaded up their truck and they moved to Beverly
EDIT: Hills That Is, come on!
-----------------
NOTE: Al and Joel also imitate the music in this song. Also note, these lyrics may not be exactly accurate.
-----------------
Okay, theres some added value for you. Hope you were amused! Thanks for dropping by! Now DISCUSS!!!
