What is there to be suspicious about? Let's face it, the tour has been over for awhile now and, other then a week at the Oarnge County fair this summer, there probably won't be any other concerts to promote RWS and sell T-shirts at full price.

CPFOA doesn't keep large volumes of merchancdise hanging around because it just isn't feasible. In order to get rid of them, they put them on sale.

Does this have any significance as far as any news regarding Al? Probably not since...THERE'S NOTHING ON THE OFFICIAL SITE. Bermuda would post information almost immediately I promise.

If I misread, misconstrued, or generaly screwed up what you meant by suspicious, I apoligise. That's not my intention. Trust me, the sale is completely above-board and legitimate. If I can help you understand the sale, or in any other way, let me know and I'll do my best :)

Well, if you got the CPFOA E-mail, it said that they were cleaning house and I quote the E-mail:

On May 1, weirdal.com's Merchandise Site will be closed for several months

while we gear up for the next phase in the life of Al. If you've been

putting off ordering anything from us, now's a good time.

And -- we're also putting ALL CLOTHING on sale at a 20% DISCOUNT. Many of

these designs will not be available after they've sold out, and will join

the distinguished company of other extinct Al merch over the years. This

is your chance to avoid paying a king's ransom for someone¹s smelly, used

shirt on E-bay in the not-too-distant-future (unless, um, you like that

sort of thing.)

CPFOA

So we see that a "new phase" is being prepared for. Hummmmm... Now I'm not a big city lawyer or anything, but this E-mail may imply the first stages of something that words can not state. If the CPFOA were to just try to get rid of all the stuff, why now? And not a year ago? Hummmmmm...

For some reason m e mail from CPFOA was lost in cyberspace thanks to Yahoo! (the folks that destroyed weirdalsstupidclub while trying to change it to a group. Guess I shouldn't expect too much from them, huh?)

I do think that an announcement regarding a new ALbum will be made sometime between now and the end of the world. This e mail certainly seems to confirm that.

Until then, I'll continue to check the site 27 times a day for further information.

That's odd...people usually refer to someone getting married or something when they say "next phase" of someone's life. So they're either selling stuff too late to celebrate his wedding, or far too early to celebrate his "golden years". ;)
