Remotely related to Al? You have laid yourself open to some extremely weird Christmas gifts there, friend!
Dear Santa,

Please bring Ratbert:

1. A '64 Plymouth Belvedere (with Dept. of Motor Vehicles certificate of non-operability)
2. A genuine Taiwanese tuxedo
3. A mallard
4. A pair of lederhosen
5. A pan of vegetarian lasagna
6 A blindfold (for use during prime time)
7 A waffle iron
8 A couple of pounds of reindeer sausage
9 A pink angora sweater
I think that's all...
Oh, yes, please also bring a whole red snapper and the nose cone of a missile.
Thank you.

Sincerely, OE

p.s. Ratbert's been very good this year. He really deserves to get all these lovely gifts.

For myself, I've pretty much run out of Al stuff I could ask for, since in the last 5 months I've bought WAY, In 3D, DTBS, PP, EW, OTDE, Alapalooza, BHD, RWS, the UHF DVD even though I don't have a DVD player, and THREE copies of WAY Live. I now have more Al CDs than I have of any other single artist (or married one, for that matter)

OE, you forgot about the pretty little rhinestone pumps that go with the angora sweater.

If we are talking wish list here... Peter & The Wolf.

I want a spatula. It makes a great Christmas gift, you know.

For the longest time, I would joke with my brother that he should get me a copy of "The Authorized Al" (I had only in the past extensively borrowed my library's rebounded copy)....since it's kind of a little inside joke between the two of us to come up with gift ideas that would either be impossible to find, way too expensive, or simply has never been made.

Well, imagine my surprise when last Christmas he hands me this thin book-shaped present...and my further surprise when the thing was in pretty friggin' great shape!

So now, I gotta make good on my promise to find a print of the movie "London After Midnight".....h'oh boy.

I usually wish all my Christian friends a merry Christmas and all my Jewish friends a Feliz Navidad! (It's an obscure(?) Al joke -- though he's probably not the first or only person to use it.)

Other than that, there's usually no connection. Everyone knows when in doubt, Al stuff for my collection is a safe gift. Only problem is no one ever can figure out what stuff to buy me!

Mewrio, you have normal friends?

Dave, whatever duplicate items you have could be shared with your close friends and co-moderators.

I'm getting an ALendar for myself for the Holidays.

Regrettably so. Which is the reason I send them virtual spatulas. <_<
