I already asked this on another topic, but would there be any chance of the UHF DVD being released in the UK, or would I have to get an imported American copy?

I'm not sure about worldwide releases. But even if you need to import a copy, your computer should play it (assuming you have a DVD drive... computers seem to play all DVD region discs.)

So, humour this technologically-challenged girl......
I should be able to play a DVD on my computer? How would I find out? I do intend to buy a player at some point, but this could be instant gratification!

If you have a DVD drive installed, yes. They're pretty standard on most computers made in the last 2 years.
