I've heard a lot of promo for VH1's upcoming series "200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons", but there's no mention of Al, and no indication on the website that he'll be included. That is just totally, totally wrong.

As a very wise man once queried: "Wazzup with that!?"

I say we get the e-mails going to VH-1, and let them know how upset we are as Al fans. Al belongs on that list, and VH-1 needs to know it.

It's already set in stone, and frankly it doesn't matter what VH1 thinks. They gone overkill with these insipid lists much like we have with all the polls. It's not long now before we'll see VH1's top 100 VH1 top 100 lists list, or the WOWAY poll for favorite/least favorite WOWAY polls. Enough already!

And don't forget VH-1's list of top 100 WOWAY polls! Oh, I so hope "Favorite Head" is #1!!!!!

Dave and I were discussing the other day possibilites for The Top 100 Obscure Weird Al Moments on TV with commentary by Emo Philips, Judy Tenuda, and for some reason Mandy Moore.

Anyone seen the list of 200 Icons yet? How many of the Icons has Al parodied or made reference to?

With the amount of Al satire on that site, ther is no way they're letting our beloved Al onto either the VMAs or VH1's 200 greatist pop icons. DARN!!!! I hate people who don't like Al just because their minds are corupted by rapcrap.

VH-1 has been very gracious in giving Al airtime. I don't think it's fair to say that the reason he isn't on as much is because they hate him or because they like "rapcrap." It has to do with ratings. What's going to sell better? J.Lo videos or Al videos? It's just what people want to see.
