This will be the best concert on the Mandatory Tour. Why? Because I will be there.

On a scale of 1-5, how would you rank your excitement?

Tonight is the night! I hope Al's not too tired, doing two shows the day before.

Tiredness is a .5 out of 5, he slept on the bus

What a fun time! The Sandy Amphitheater is a much better venue than the Utah State Fair Grandstand where it's been held the last three concerts. The weather was perfect and a good time was had by all. My only complaint is that they ran out of my size (XL) for the green shirt and I don't think I was that far back in line. So, I had to settle for the blue shirt. I also got the flag, hoodie and hat. There's a long, winding path from the entrance to the stage and that's what Al used for his Tacky entrance. This was the second concert for my oldest 2 kids and the first concert for the 3rd and 4th ones. I did not know that tin foil hats was a thing for this tour. I was surprised to see them on several people's heads when I entered. I got the kids to their seats then got in line for my merchandise. When I got back to our seats, a kind man was making tin foil hats for each of my kids. You can see them on my Facebook page. The kids thought that was really cool. The set list proceeded as has been described by many of you as his previous concerts. I was expecting the acoustic set, but I had no idea it would sound like THAT. Wow! That was a nice, creative deviation for Al. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My friend darbus, who hasn't posted on this forum in several years, got the VIP pass and was on the second row to get the water thrown on him and his wife and got to meet him afterwards. The Yoda chant seemed like it had a lot of new stuff added or I just forget what they do in it every four years. When singing the chorus, Al said, "Everybody sing it now!" and then he said, "Now, just the white people!" Then he gave a puzzled look because it sounded exactly like it did before, a reference to our homogeneous white culture in Utah. Nice joke. An hour drive there and back left me exhausted, causing me to come in 2 1/2 hours late for work today. I'm just sad it's over. Thank you, Al and your band!

Oh yeah. And a drone flew overhead at the beginning of the concert. Hmmm....

Mods, I know this is against the rules, and I could get in trouble for posting it, but due to it being professionally shot by the venue, I am going to try posting it. Sorry in advance! They used a drone through most of the concert, which you can see quite a few times throughout the video.
