Awesome! Strange for him to be on a channel that focuses on business and the economy, but great for exposure! Maybe he'll talk about "Mission Statement."
I want him to be on Redeye with Greg Gutfeld! That show is hilarious!

First segment was brief - Just Varney and his guest talking about Al and his 8Videos8Days thing, and how it relates to Comcast/Time Warner. He showed part of "Tacky," and it was funny because Stewart Varney had no idea who Stonestreet was. He was like "Who was that guy? I thought I was going to see Weird Al?"
Al will be on the show at the 12:00 hour.

That was an awkward interview. Varney tried to get Al to comment on Time Warner taking control of so many different content outlets, and Al had no idea what he was talking about and just wanted to promote the album.

Did he actually ask any legitimate questions? I have this DVRd, so I'll have to watch it when I get home from work.

Well, yeah. He asked him about how the music business has changed for him since MTV. And then he took the conversation towards talking about his main story for the day - having to do with Time Warner and Internet content. That's where he lost Al.
Then for some reason he asked if he could be in Al's next video. Al told him to do a little dance to see if he could, but Varney wouldn't do it. Yeah, pretty awkward.
Like I said, if Al wants to go on a news show, he should go on "Redeye" - the people there will know who he is and appreciate his work.

If anyone that has a copy of this could upload the Al portions, it would be awesome. I saw this topic, but didn't look at the date figuring it was yesterday. I easily could have watched it, but I didn't. The show isn't OnDemand, and their live streaming service only goes back an hour. Damn.

Pretty cool appearance! Al totally punted on the Time Warner discussion, and I certainly don't blame him as getting into an argument on Fox Business about the economics of a multi-million dollar corporation probably isn't the best way to promote a comedy music album.
