Tickets went on sale yesterday. Snagged section A row K for both of these. Actually I lie. I didn't do anything. My computer locked me out of Ticketmaster so my co-worker purchased the tickets for me. So I have her to thank.

And thanks to Adrian who got the other set for the previous day.
(That was planned!)
What a weird venue. The rows start at C and every seat is less than 60 feet from the stage. It's a revolving stage so in order to see the whole thing, the further back you are generally the better seats you have. Row C patron leaves the venue with a stiff neck.
My estimate is Row K is the best seat in the house, then fans out up and down from there. So I'm really happy with these seats. And if I get hungry during the show, I can eat the taco sitting next to me.

Funny, I forgot to mention to you that I got locked out from Ticketmaster on one of my computers too--luckily I have two other computers at my workstation. I think I hit the reload button too many times in too short an amount of time or something... gotta be careful with that in the future I guess.

Agreed... I think I sat in either row J or K the last time I went and I actually felt bad for the people down in row C... why row C is the front row, I still haven't figured out. It's a pretty cool place though.

GAHHHH!!!!!!! <runs away screaming>

Wow - I just found this message board today!
Anyways, I got tix to the Westbury shows. When they first went on sale last week, I got 6 tix in Row H from ticketmaster for the Tuesday (7/22) show for friends and I.
I was contemplating going to the Wednesday 7/23 show (it's convenient, I live in Long Island), but no one else wanted to go. But that changed yesterday when Row A come up for one ticket - so I got it!
I love seeing AL at Westbury. I passed the last time he was there (July 2000), but I did see him in 96, 97, and 99 there. It rocked!

Haha, hi Jon!
And in response to all the talk about the rows, I'm a bit nervous now, being in row C and all... I've seen Al at this venue twice before. I was in rows N and F those times, and both times I wanted to be farther up front, and looked at the people in row C with fiery green eyes... but now that I think about it, it COULD be a little close. Oh well, a stiff neck is a small price to pay.
Also looking forward to tonight's Ak & Zuie show,
-Katelyn

Those Row C seats do look a bit close to the rotisserie that is the Westbury stage... but I think you'll survive.

Well, here I am reporting LIVE from a hotel in Westbury, NY, fresh off Show #1, already looking forward to show #2 tomorrow evening.

Just wanted to post some notes from this show:
Great show as always... the cramped rotating stage presented a challenge for them but they pulled it off. Al took advantage of the fact that he had to cut through the audience to get to the stage (and that the stage is about one or two steps up from the audience) and actually sang MORE to people in the aisles than usual. He did this with WBUL, and most notably at the end of Smells Like Nirvana where he decided to bust right off the stage, microphone stand and all, and scream at some people in the aisles. The stand actually got caught on the edge of the stage as he made his way back up so he just left it there. Also, I don't think you'll ever get to see Jon at work as well as you can at this place.
Got to see Al after the show.. my girlfriend Anne and I were greeted with a "You're back!!", which was cool.
Time to get some rest... I have another night of "Spinning Al" Yankovic to look forward to.
