Well, if there was ever a time for Al to finally get around to tackling The Beatles (be it with a parody or a "Hot Rocks"-style polka), this would be the time. There seems to be a lot of renewed interest in The Beatles these days, what with their 50th anniversary and all the articles and tributes going on. Guessing if Al doesn't do anything with them now, it just isn't going to happen. But put me in the camp of those who have hoped for a Beatles spoof with every new ALbum release.

What about "Pac-Man" and "Gee, I'm A Nerd" and including "Hey Jude" on "Polkas On 45"? Do those not count?

No.

Polkas on 45 KINDA counts, I guess. But just barely. If The Rolling Stones deserve a full polka medley dedicated to their vast catalog of classic songs, then certainly The Beatles do too. The other two songs are technically unreleased, so they definitely do not count.

Hadn't thought of this. Good point! I'd much rather hear a Beatles medley polka than a folk-themed one like we were speculating about.

...oh.

From the article:
Once again, Prince shows off his amazing sense of humor
I'm lost.

Al doesn't need to parody Prince if this song is legit. It's alright too far out there to lampoon. But what's worse, PRETZELBODYLOGIC or Achy Breaky 2?

Al, please be close to finishing Album 14 so there can be a glimmer of good music in the midst of all this trash!

Every album people speculate The Beatles and Springsteen. I honestly believe if he was gonna hit either one he would have done it by now.

Well, this IS the speculation thread....

At least I didn't mention Linkin Park.

Remember when a small contingent of people on here insisted that Al would do a parody of that Numa Numa song? Good times.

Is anyone else wondering about the number of songs Al recorded last week. I would hope it's three since that's how many he said he recorded during his last two recording sessions, but there's a chance there could have only been two.
