I can identify with you, Patti. I'm overly-sensitive too, and I'm sometimes really bothered by things that shouldn't bother me.

Anyway, if this ever happened, Sports Song with a big marching band would be awesome. I'm assuming Al would try to stuff as many of his biggest hits into the performance as he could, so we would probably see at least portions of "Fat," "Smells Like Nirvana," "Amish Paradise," and "Eat It."

Check out this article and the embedded video where Al talks about the petitions that have been circulating for him to play at the Super Bowl, and "Sports Song".

That is awesome. Too bad this interview is from BEFORE this new petition got started, or else he might have had some different opinions. Cool, nonetheless.

Not sure I follow. Why would knowing about this latest one make a difference?

Well, the guy who is running the latest one has said that he knows it is being talked about at Al's camp, whether that is true or not, but that might mean things are actually starting to pick up a little on his side of the thing. Just my thoughts.

Well the latest one got over 125,000 signatures and TONS of mainstream media attention. The others were all extreme longshots at best. Now, although still a longshot, there is at least some widespread interest in this happening.

I suppose you're right. It doesn't sound like he wouldn't do it if he was asked, though.

Helen was saying it's true that Al's camp is talking about it. The Merch page on the Mothership that Helen linked to has a link to the petition.
