If they release it on DVD, it will probably be mixed in with other stuff... it's a little short to be by itself.

I concur.

If it does get released, it'll probably be like the extra bits on the Every-Country-But-Austrailia Ultimate Video Collection.

Aw, Mysty, are you feeling left out? Maybe Al will start releasing DVDs in Australia when his fans down under learn to spell their country properly (one i, mate) or when the DVD company decides they're willing to make non-Region-1 DVDs and ship them far and wide. Obviously they didn't feel they could make a profit in that market. Sadly, Al has little say in these matters, or I'm sure he'd have released the UVC in Australia!

You could ALways do what writer and Al fan Ian Taylor did -- meet an American Al-Gal online, amaze her with your brilliance, marry her, and move to the US where we get everything Al releases. This, of course, depends on your being brilliant... :F Fortunately for Ian, he is to science fiction what Al is to rock music, and Ian's American pen pal is a sucker for funny guys! (It's me, btw, if you hadn't figured that out. After we met in alt.music.weird-al, I read his novel Spindle -click the Amazon link below to look it up and find out more! - and I knew I had to have that amazing humor in my life every day!) When SOL came out, I waited by the CD-store door 'til they opened, bought two copies, and delivered one to Ian at work and brought the other home to play for myself. That way we both got to hear it the hour it was released! But of course, Ian's solution to being an Aussie Al fan won't work for everyone...I'm taken. :inlove:

But YouTube is the great leveler of playing fields, y'know? What you don't own you can still watch on your computer between WOWAY sessions! (But not everything credited to Al there is really Al, so beware.)

I suppose the Al's Brain film in some format will even make it onto YouTube eventually, but here's what I'd like to see: The next CD released as a 2-disc set, one CD plus one DVD (a' la Green Day's Bullet In A Bible live package), with Al's Brain, another (longer) making-of doc, and some videos on the DVD.

Of course, the DVDs would be Region 1...but maybe some smart record company would offer an Oz release...don't worry, my Aussie Al-Pals, you'll get to see everything eventually (I hear you can buy bootleg Region-1-compatible DVD players there too, which is another WAY to go...)

Al has the best brain ever! I'm going to go e-mail the Boston Museum of Science now...

I'll do everything I can to get it to the local science museum.
Which may be a challenge :P

When I was hanging out with my cousin yesterday, in addition to hearing that Al remembered me, I also heard that Al requested that the school select five kids to sing a song for Al's Brain, and one of his good friends was selected. Needless to say, he was very excited for her (and also a little jealous).

So, your cousin's good friend is one of five kids who will be singing a song for Al's Brain? Is that right? That's realy cool!

Hmm, I wonder what song they have to sing?
