I just got back, and it was the best time of my life!
He skipped SLN for some reason. It looks like he fixed the hole in his Amish pants. I got a red Canadian Idiot streamer, Albuquerque confetti, and a bunch of Yankobucks. I wont do a full review now, I'm really tired. By the way, he did Bob. And in Albuquerque, he had a bunch of donuts: chocolate, butterscotch, raspberry...

Thanks for posting, waf1000000. Glad you had fun, and got all those concert momentos. I still have my CI streamers from the Detroit show last year. Go and get some rest, and we'll look forward to a full review when you're ready.

Well, I guess I'll give my full review.
Went back down to The Lawn around 3:30 for soundcheck...around 4 the band bus arrived, with all the band in the front, and since I was standing beside the road...they all noticed and waved, so I at least got that acknowledgement from the band that they were glad to see me.
Soundcheck then started around 4:15 with the checking of the mics. The stage manager is crazy with the checks...he does them forever, and in many different ways. Even did them in Hawaiian once...lol, that was interesting...The band then tuned their instruments and eventually after awhile did Canadian Idiot for the soundcheck, however, that was all. Also met, weirdal4994, I think that's his name on here...and talked to him for awhile.
I then decided to get something to eat, and went down to Long John Silvers...While being one of my favorite restaurants, I hadn't had it before an Al concert before...so that was a first.
Got back to The Lawn around 6:45 and there was a huge line to get in...I finally get in...and after making it through security after security with punches, mauling people overloading with free stuff I had to throw in the trash, and tears of tickets...i get to my seat on the grass. Well, nearly on the grass...there is a little kid beach chair as the seat. I find my seat, which isn't numbered, and then decide to try and get up and go to the merchandise stand. The merchandise stand still had the same merchandise as the 2007 leg, although there are nice new WeirdAl advertisement banners...however, I don't guess they're for sale. They must just be for promotion. Real nice, though...
Get back over to the seat thing, and listen to LIVENATION's pre-show music, since for some reason they couldn't just play AL's...listen to that until the show starts. The show finally starts and it was one of the most technically unsound shows that I have seen Al put on. It wasn't his fault, and he kept trying to correct it...telling his sound guys what to do...but not much would help. It seemed to be worse when he was on my side(Steve's side) of the stage..so, he played more to the left side than mine. In Wanna B Ur Lovr....he said he wanted to be his lover....Little flubs in other songs, and as mentioned for some reason no Smells Like Nirvana...my guess is the cheerleaders didn't show or LIVENATION didn't want to find any, or something. I haven't heard about that being cut out, and I hope not. First Al show, I haven't seen it. There also was no Headline News as mentioned.
After the show, I make my way over to the bus, find 4994 again...and start talking to him again. I decide to go over and say hi to the other WOWAYers, who have passes, lol...might talk to Jim again...I don't know...LIVENATION is crazy....but, anyway, I saw hi to them...and make my way back over to the front of the bus..I make friends with an Indianapolis police officer, who likes my Lakers jersey. I also show it to some other people who are there waiting...they are ran off, because they don't have passes, but the officer says I can stay....We wait and talk for a little while, but then a LIVENATION guy says I have to leave...the officer tells him "No, he's fine, he can stay"...Then the LIVENATION guy says to the officer "I'm sorry, but you have no authority here...what I say goes...and I say he has to leave"...The officer continues to argue with him....but he gets another LIVENATION guy to walk me off the propery...gees, that guy was crazy...But, ah well, I've met him before...so didn't really phase me....I still may talk to Jim about passes from now on, or something....but it was really amazing seeing them tell a man of the law he has no authority and a good feeling that he was taking up for me.
That was my full review of "The Lawn" at White River State Park in Indianapolis...this is such a waste of property I've seen....really crazy place...kinda glad to get out of here....lol, maybe Louisville will end up better....

So it kind of sucked? Oh, well. As long as you got to see Al right?

Oh, so you guys get streamers and such but we didn't?

Meh- I was probably right. With all the California fires, they may have been taking the safe route.
Alinite27, thanks for the review! Too bad there were so many tech errors. I think it's funny that a livenation "security" guard was fighting with an actual cop! I'm sorry you had to be escorted away, but at least you got to watch them argue first.

I was there and it was AWESOME!!! It was my first concert.

I wanted some Yankobucks, but they all blew over to the other part of the lawn. I was in a great seat for being in the GA lawn. I don't know how people could have been able to take being in the first few rows with how loud it was!
Too bad he didn't do a meet and greet, but I still had a great time! I like how he added the extra donut types in Albuquerque. Also, before the show people were throwing beach balls and some people were writing on them. I kept one that says "This crowd's got a lot of balls!" written on it. My sis got one that said "Just forget the words and sing along." (I had to tell her what that was from) and she also got one that had a bunch of Holy Grail quotes on it (which I also had to tell her what the reference was.). My friend was ticked off by how Al kept changing songs all of a sudden. He hates things like that. I loved it; it was a great time! Al has so much energy it amazes me!
If anyone saw a girl with a short haircut wearing Hawaiian print pants, a DARE shirt, and a blue monkey on her head most of the time, yeah, that was me.

Thanks for the review, Jeremy. Sorry there were so many flaws with the sound, and that you were were escorted off the property, but nice to know one of Indiana's finest was sticking up for you. Shame about no SLN.
Cheesyratte, glad you had a good time. hehe, why a blue monkey?
weirdal4994, glad you got to get backstage, and have Al sign your LAS 45 sleeve. Cool!

Um.... it was spontaneous and different, I guess. Also I thought about how on the KOL radio interview that Al did he played a game called monkey or donkey, so...
Yeah,I noticed the mistakes and I definitely noticed the mess up on WBUL, but oh well. It's live and there are bound to be mess ups. Even our beloved Great Weird One is human and makes mistakes every once in a while.
