My ears hurt when I go to Al concerts too, but I would never leave before it's finished.

I was sat right in front of the speakers at both of the gigs I went to and the volume was no bother at all!!

I didn't even dare take out my earplugs at the STP concert... I was on the fence with a wall of speakers aimed directly at me... After the show I took them out and the cheers hurt my ears

We had a bad joke competition in the taxi and oh boy his jokes are truly utterly lame
I wish I could remember but seriously, they were so bad that even the adoring fan (me) was wincing in agony at their total awfulness LOL...
.....of course, that could have been deliberate! oooh how cunning that would be!

That local gig I went to, Cobfest, back in April was loud to the point of pain. Infinitely louder than Weird Al for sure
