OK Dad, I promise not to ride the subway alone! :) But seriously, some of the cabbies I've encountered have been scarier than anyone I ran into on the subway.

mta.info has schedules for each bus and subway line.
Um IN the city that is true--but the busline we usually use to get home to NJ DOES NOT run 24/7...but it does run until 1 am or something, so that isn't an issue.

FWIW, I think its the NJ Transit site--they will make up an itinerary for you if you tell them where you are and where you want to go--they'll figure it out by bus/light rail/train/subway and even tell you the fares!

Did you have to sign for it, or did they drop it in your mailbox?

Edit: Never mind, I just got mine. Can't wait!

Jackie, I hope your friend was able to get those tickets.
I am, but I'm considering spending the rest of the day elsewhere on the island.

As already mentioned elsewhere, I'm going to be helping out to collect signatures for the Make The Rock Hall Weird campaign. Since some of you don't know what I look like, I'll be wearing a tie dye Beatles Yellow Submarine T Shirt. So if you see me, please come and say hi, and sign the petition!

Ditto! I have no idea what I'll be wearing but I'm real tall and easy to spot. I think we'll be working outside the theater, although after last night I'm tempted to keep trying once we get inside.
