Here's a page with a nice pic of Al with an interviewer, I guess, and a look-alike, along with some nice comments.

You can download the Al episode here. He's about 16 minutes into the show.

The acting is so bad, no wonder Al took to drinking the 'Bismol.

But I have to admit, that guy can play the accordion.

Oh, thanks for telling me, Dave! I guess I hadn't investigated enough to find out that pic was from a tv show. Oh, and thanks for the warning on the acting, Carol.

Another Google Alert from this morning, Al's name is being thrown out as a possible performer.
I just skimmed the article, so I don't really know when the announcement is being made which comedian will appear. Since Jon doesn't always put this kind of performance on the webpage, we may have to get confirmation on our own.
Just a follow-up to this. Looks like they're going with someone else, or more like a duo of someone elses, comedians Ed Helms and Horatio Sanz. Al was out of their budget anyway.
I'm with the student who had no clue who the performers were.

I found an article about Al's show in Myrtle Beach last year.
Read on, it's good!
ETA: If this was already posted, I apologize. I don't remember seeing it, though.

LA/Key Club show was something else... Weird Al got up w/us for a ripping version of "Gump".... I was amazed how hard that dude rocks on stage! Real nice guy, too. We got it on video & I'm sure there's some pictures out there somewhere and a recording er somethin'. You people... find it & report back!
I'll look around for more. Can't believe I missed this, I'm a diehard fan of the band

Doesn't amaze us, though, does it?

Well, yes and no. I mean, we all know he does rock, but it's still amazing to watch him rockin' out, you know what I mean?
It's cool that Al performed "Gump" with the Presidents, because I have a videotape of Al performing that song from New Years '97, with a couple of the guys from that band standing near the stage. They were watching, and singing along. One of them even did the high kick. They seemed very happy about the whole experience. Nice to know they finally got to jam together.
