I just hope more rap songs about oral sex become popular before album 14 comes out. That way, we'd have 3 albums in a row with oral sex songs in the polka.

Well don't just sit around and hope, Grom. Write one, record it, release it and promote it so it becomes a huge hit that Al will polka-ize.

Do I have to do everything around here? Come on.

Violent Femmes style parody.

Oh yeah.
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

I think if Al's going to do something Arcade Fire related it'll most likely be a style parody since for the most part they've tended to be more successful album wise than single wise. Plus a lot of their songs lack that big hook of a chorus that would lend itself well to parody. I mena a song like "Wake Up" is somewhat catchy but you can't really find good words to fit around "AHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHH AHHHHHHH AHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHH". Though whenever I think of doing something in the style of Arcade Fire I think of something like "When I was Your Age" or "Good Old Days" since mst of their songs tend to be about childhood and the kids. Oh the kids.

If I recall, Arcade Fire is Canadian. I`ll chuckle if I hear Arcade Fire parodied on Album 14. Come to think of it, Al has never parodied Celie Dion. I wonder if it`s herself who forbid it, or rather if it is Angelil saying no.
Dd she even see her interview?

And I drived, talking with my blue teeth
My boyfreind told me don't cree
Come to my houss, don't worraye,
we'll talk about this togeedurr."

Al did parody Celine Dion with the concert-only song "Free Delivery." If I recall correctly, when Al asked for permission, the producers of Titanic turned him down...

Meh, what does James Cameron know aside from cold-dead lovers and blue chimps from space? Anyway, Celine doesn`t belong to Cameron, for what I know.
Anyway, if we consider that Al`s next album will be released in two or three years, maybe 4 if we are unlucky, then we are far from knowing what can be parodied yet. New bands migth surface, new singers will sit atop the billboard, and many shall taste the delicious irony of being a celebrity (that last line makes me think of TMZ...)

I thought I heard the issue with Free Delivery was just that Al didn't think it was worthy enough to be put on the album. Same thing with Fast Food.

Album 14 Speculation :3

And it's not Celines call. The song was written for the movie. It was supposed to be music only, but the composer had lyrics so he asked his friend Celine do the demo
