4) Having said that, Al is halfway done the album, and if there IS any trend over all of Al's career it's that an album usually comes out around a year after the last originals are recorded. I am betting on a 2014 release at some point, maybe very early 2015.
Im probably missing something since Im not on here much lately, but half of the album is done?

Al has tweeted about recording new songs back in September 2012 and March of this year. He also said the album is "half done" in his latest blog entry.

Get Lucky definitely feels like a polka song. Royals is very likely to be a parody IMO. Most likely track 3 or 5 depending on how soon the album comes

I would be surprised if Macklemore & Ryan Lewis aren't represented somehow.

I think/hope "Royals" would be better-suited as a parody than a polka, but every other nominee for Record of the Year seems like a perfect polka inclusion.

I remember reading something around when Poodle Hat came out where Al had been throwing around the idea of doing a polka medley containing songs by all the "The" bands, but since there were four in particular that were very popular, he stuck with those (The Vines, The Hives, The White Stripes and The Strokes). I could foresee something similar in the next medley with Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers and Of Monsters And Men (especially The Lumineers, whose "Ho Hey" is practically begging to be included in a polka).
This has been knocking around my head for a while, so I tried to make a list of which songs or, at the very least, which artists would be included in what I briefly dubbed "The Folk-a Polka" but then wised up and un-dubbed. This is as far as I got (list in no particular order):
The Lumineers, "Ho Hey"
Of Monsters and Men, "Little Talks"
Mumford & Sons, "I Will Wait"
Ed Sheeran, "The A Team"
Phillip Phillips, "Gone, Gone, Gone" (or "Home," if you prefer)
Bon Iver, "Skinny Love"?
The Avett Brothers...?
Regina Spek...tor...?
Did I miss some artists, or is the list of folk/acoustic acts not as long as we thought? I was sort of rooting for my experiment at first, because as the-polka-that's-probably-on-Al's-last-regularly-produced-album it would be nice to see another themed polka for a change. But then again, some un-parody-able hits in other genres like "Call Me Maybe," "Get Lucky" and "Blurred Lines" get excluded when you try to do that.

How are these songs "un-parody-able"? I've seen lesser parodies of all these songs all over YouTube.
