If Couch Potato is in the concert, it would definitely be in the medley. I haven't been to one of his concerts, but I noticed that unless its a classic like Eat It, Fat, Smells Like Nirvana, Sage Begins, or Yoda, his older songs from previous albums are never played after just being played at his last tour. I may be wrong, but its just something I noticed. Not to say that Couch Potato is bad, mind you. Al likes to keep his concerts fresh without ruining the classic moments for fans that haven't been to one of his concerts before.

when I saw Al in 1996, I was quite surprised that he kept both Jurassic Park and Headline News in the setlist, in their entirety. JP wasn't exactly the BIGGEST hit (I remember that MTV NEVER played the video) and Headline News was VERY dated by 1996. I was also quite surprised that Gump was back in 1999-2000, and even in the medley in 2002-04, since Forest Gump was a pretty old movie by then. That might be proof enough that Couch Potato isn't dead. However, I too am predicting a one verse medley appearance.

I think we're all for the Couch Potato medley. I'm not saying that its dead and you might be right about it staying in full for the new tour, but it seems a little bit too outdated so be in. But hey, I dunno.

another thing about Couch Potato is, it really doesn't rely quite so much on the costumes as songs such as Amish Paradise or Bedrock Anthem. If anything, Al can throw on a knit hat or a sweatshirt in a couple seconds and get a partial Eminem appearance while the band plays the instrumental intro, and then throw it off and go into the next song, similar to what he does with Free Delivery, Acky Breaky, and Eat It. I recall the Al Gals didn't have much love for his baggy jeans anyway.....
Anyone remember that CNN news blurb about RWS which showed Al performing Pentiums without a costume at all? Even that still worked (even though when it first aired, we had no idea what the costume would be like, although I perfectly predicted it the first time I saw the TWS, 1 day before the video premiered)

The Canberra show on March 24 has sold out! I was pretty surprised to see it sold out a month before, and slightly bummed because I was going to go, but YAY for Al

Here's just a random observation I noticed about this tour the other day, and with today's announcement of a Canadian date it seems appropriate to share.
This is by far the most international tour of Al's career. Already the tour was stopping in a record (for Al) three different countries (New Zealand, Australia, and the United States), but with the addition of a date in Canada that bumps it up to four. It may sound like a minor achievement, but I think that's pretty impressive considering Al hadn't toured outside of North America before 2003.

Did anyone else get the email from Al that said that you can preorder the tickets? I got it yesterday and the date listed was sold put, though I wouldn't be able to go to where it was. Ticketmaster has a lot of dates including the OC Fair (YAY!) listed and when they will go on presale.

That's interesting. Unless the schedule has changed, Al is meant to be on Spicks & Specks on the 6th. So either TBITB are flying out later than Al, or Al's taping has been pushed back...
