Even with the album coming out in 2010, you'd think he would release a song between October and March.
But he took a much deserved vacation and was working on Al's Brain so he might not have had any time to look over the charts...but I hope he has a new single coming out soonish!!!!

What's all this about it coming out in 2010? Has this actually been confirmed? Or is this still the same speculation based on that quote posted above? Man, by the time this album comes out, the economy will be repaired and WYL will not only be a dated parody, but also completely irrelevant.

Let's hope the reason the song is not included on the album is because it's already irrelevant, not because Al went broke and couldn't afford the royalty payments.

No, it's not just the article. Al's Facebook bio says he'll be touring on summer 2010. We assume he'll have an album out by then.
And Bermuda said they'll be recording all this year on this interview, and releasing singles as they finish recording them. WHICH I DOUBT. I mean, I don't doubt they'll release a single or two before the album comes out, but he made it sound like they'd release 8-9 singles, and then re-release them all as an album with another 3 or 4 more songs.

It would be fine with me if they released say 3 singles or something and leave the rest to the new album. I like being surprised on a new album!

I thought he'd release all but 1 of the parodies on iTunes or whatever and have 1 new one and the new originals on the album, along with the other parodies.

The game changed with the problems surrounding WYL's release.
I wouldn't be shocked if we don't see anything until the album.

Not an album speculation, per se... but how cool would it be if Al sold official high quality bootleg for each show like my other favorite band does? (Can it truly be called a bootleg if it's officially sanctioned and produced?)

I don't think it would then be called a bootleg.
And that would be totally AWESOME!
