... I wonder what its like for Suzanne to see her husband to a pelvic thrust in some other womans face?
I'm sure she thinks it's funny. If it bothered her, Al wouldn't do it. And, you know, it's not as if he goes sloping through the audience looking for hot chicks to hit on. He spreads his attentions around pretty evenly, without regard for the scenic merits of the ladies in question. I mean, I've been kablaamed, and I'm, uh, twice the woman Suzanne is.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
I'm not sure if this has already been brought up or not...but I was just listening to one of the Steve's CD's that he gave me the other night in Greensburg...
On the Sea Never Dry album, in the song Big Shoes, is the new part of the Yoda Chant that was added for the Straight Outta Lynwood Tour...just thought that was interesting that that was where it came from.
You can listen to that song on Steve's MySpace page...

Bermuda's not been referenced yet, AFAIK. Maybe next year they'll figure out how to do a vocal impression of the drum solo from Wipeout or something.
The "ring ding ding" section sounds drum-like. What's that from?
Drum solo vocalization isn't too hard or unheard of. And it sounds cool.

English doesn't just borrow from other languages, it mugs them on the street and checks their pockets for loose grammar.

Yup, Al has been including TBITB as influences for the Yoda Chant. The other recent add is from Jim's influence (The Hawaiian War Chant).
Wow, really? Awesome!! I so have to learn the chant now!
Captain Ollie: She's not your usual teenage writer.
There doesn't seem to be a thread for Al's show Sunday night at Buffalo Days in Regina, but he got a glowing review in today's "Leader-Post."
The paper also had a related article about the turnout for the festival as a whole, with a choice quote about Al from Neil Donnelly, the venue's vice-president of marketing and events....
"It just capped off a perfect week (Sunday) night with Weird Al," Donnelly said.
"We were absolutely jam-packed, the largest crowd that I think we've ever seen in Confederation Park. He put on an absolutely fabulous show and the crowds were just a huge demographic from young kids to seniors out there, just having a great time."
According to the first article, 8,000 people came to see Al.
There is something very absurd in seeing weathered old musicians playing bass guitar and drums dressed like Star Wars characters ...
Hilarious! Steve's the biggest kid on stage! LOL
He loves it!
