From the wikipedia page regarding click tracks:
It is not uncommon for musicians or engineers to subdivide click tracks at slow tempos (for instance, below 70 BPM) into smaller parts, with, e.g., a click on the start of a bar and a beep on every individual 1/4 (or 1/8, or 1/16, etc.) note. Some musicians also use pre-recorded backing tracks with additional parts such as synthesizers, strings or layered background vocals to recreate parts that would be impractical to play live, in which case a click track synchronized with the backing track is played through headphones or in-ear monitors to keep the musicians in synchrony with the backing track.
Al uses pre-recorded parts: I.E. the percussion loop in Fat, the choir sample for Amish Paradise, the guitar parts that Jim isn't playing live during TMZ, etc. Ever wonder how they keep things perfectly in sync. Yeah, here's your answer. Now Jeremy, do us all a favor and drop it, because I just proved you wrong.

You haven't proved anything. Al using pre-recorded parts is a given. He has to. Jim is not able to play 15 different guitar parts at one time. No matter how talented he is. But, that has nothing to do with your previous point of how they sync the video. I am telling you what I have heard directly from some of Al's crew. It can't get much more concrete than that, without Bermuda commenting on this. If he's browsing around, we'd appreciate a concrete answer. I'll only admit that I am wrong, if Jon states that they conform their performance to the tempo of a video, so that they stay in sync. You can't use a given to prove a maybe, though, sorry.
But, I'm glad you cited Wikipedia...we all know how credible that is.

I'm still not quite sure how an observation on a performance has devolved into this, but please get it back to the show, or just move on to something else.

You're the only troll in keeping the argument going.
I gave you examples of when it's happened and word-of-mouth from people on Al's crew. There's nothing else that I should need to do to convince you. So, we might as well stop arguing.

PLEASE STOP BOTH OF YOU. Do you really need the last word?
put each other on ignore so you are not seeing each other's posts. I cannot be the only one clicking on topics with new posts and just seeing this kind of crap who is tired of it.
You have been asked to stop-so STOP.

I'm done. I got my definitive answer straight from the horse's mouth, and I furnished proof to Jeremy privately.
My deepest apologies, but #1: I don't want to have to think "If I make a post, is it going to be dissected and examined under a microscope by Jeremy?" and #2: I tried to walk away, but when someone keeps going after I stop then I have to shut them up. It's like Silvio Dante said in The Sopranos "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in." But now, I'm done. I proved my point, I needn't say anything further on the subject. It was never my intent to piss off anyone intentionally or unintentionally, but when you call me out and keep pushing my jackass button, I'm going to answer. I'm done, I'm out, and I'll just go back to lurking in.......

This is the last post for me because I sincerely feel sorry and apologize to people like Jackie who have been getting notifications possibly on new posts, or at least, have had to dig through them in this topic.
Your proof said that they used click tracks. I've never questioned that. What I questioned was the fact that they use the click tracks through the whole concert just to stay sync'd to the video. Sometimes they do use it to stay sync'd to the video, but sometimes they don't. At some points, they do what I said. Your proof said that they use a mixture of different techniques through the show to stay in sync, part being click tracks. Mostly the click tracks being samples, which I never argued. You are WRONG. I know what I have seen LIVE. I know what I have HEARD. Now, SHUT UP!
This is my last post. Now, please don't water down this topic anymore with arguing, and please don't ever Private Message me again!

I agree with and support dingo's post. Please keep your posts to the show, and the show only. For any personal disagreements, there is PM or other outlets like Twitter of Facebook. My tolerance is really low on this at the moment, so please double think before you post, otherwise you might not like the consequences. Thanks for your cooperation.
