Having finally watched the episode myself I can safely say...

How I Met Your Mother > 30 Rock, both in Al references and in general

(And Cobie Smulders > Tina Fey for that matter)

Really? I don't find HIMYM all that funny. The writing is poor; granted, they have an amazing cast.

Finally saw the episode! NBC actually has a site with episodes available for download. Yay! Loved the celebrity benefit, but hearing Alec Baldwin mention Al was great!

A few month back, it occurred to me that I was kind of surprised that Al hasn't made it yet, despite all of the TV appearance he has made. I would love to see Al do "I Lost on Jeopardy", with Don Pardo doing his part while he's still around.

Not only that, but Alec Baldwin has been named host of the season finale and it made even more sense for him to bring back the CNR character with Al now using the song on recent TV appearances. Maybe there's hope for later this year.
