Maybe as a non-American you can't discern the difference, but Jimmy Buffett is definitely not country.

ETA: I did a Google search for what genre people consider Jimmy Buffett and one I liked was "Gulf and Western".
Well yeah, to me its Country, or C&W, but like I said in the UK we aren't exposed to it at all. I bet the average Brit would only be able to name Dolly Parton & maybe Johnny Cash. I know some of the names of others but not much of the music. Very early Dr Hook and Creedence Clearwater Revival are about as close as my tastes ever get to Country

Yeah, the genius of a Jimmy Buffett really can't be summed up by just saying "country". However, I can definitely that the penetration of him may not be that great in the UK. I really love his music because as I kid he was one of the artists I can really remember enjoying. Jimmy Buffett, Jim Croce, Chili Peppers, and of course, Weird Al.

I still really wish this WOULD be a Buffett style original, another style that Al hasn't completely done...but I doubt it is, most probably because I don't want hopes to be crushed and dislike an upcoming song due to that.

Looking at the artwork at http://www.shockhound.com/albums/378324 ... kipper-dan that was my exact thought. I was a jungle skipper for 3 years at the Magic Kingdom, and that sure looks reminiscent of the Jungle Cruise. The costume is right in line. The covering above him (the red and white) is the same style as the old Junlge Cruise boats. IF this really is a Jungle Cruise or Disney cast member themed song, then I certainly couldn't wait.

Above is the Jungle Cruise boat (at least the classic boat; they changed the design around 2000). Below is the Jungle Cruise costume:

Look at the similarities to the Skipper Dan artwork:

I definitely wouldn't consider Jimmy Buffett music country music. He has some songs that could be considered country, but it's kind of hard to pin down exactly what genre he is. He has kind of created his own genre.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

WOW, those are very close similiarities. It's an interesting thought...I'm sure they've been to Disneyland. Wonder if Nina was a fan of the Jungle Cruise...

Odd find though

EDIT: Kevbo, you've beat me to the punch...darn you
What? "damn" is not ok, but "you cheap bast*rd" is fine? hmmm. Guess thats another UK/USA cultural difference then

I just like the idea of turning 'Cellphones' into a ringtone. I might do that.

Ive never been to Disneyland and probably never will, so I can't begin to guess at the humour of that occupation
