It's a good enough song, it's just I don't like the reputation it gave Al as the food guy or a one hit wonder. And even without my feelings for it, I just don't find it standing up to later work.
I tend to agree with this, but Eat It is a lot better than Fat.
No Jackson parodies made my list

Negative. "Fat" is awesome. A lot funnier than "Eat It." And yes, it did make my list, in the top ten in fact. "Eat It" was one of the first ones I knocked off my list as I was narrowing it down.

Interestingly my list of favourite songs does NOT exactly echo my favourite album choices in the "rank the albums" thread
My #9 favourite album and my #3 favourite album tie for the greatest number of songs featuring in my top 20
My #2 album and my #6 album tie for the next largest number of representatives
and my #1 all time favourite album only gets to contribute a mere two favourite songs (though one has top billing)
I am quite shocked not even one song from my 4th favourite album made it onto the best song list
Just goes to show that an album is definitely not merely the sum of it's constituent parts but has other appeal factors, such as overall "feel" and production and just the way it comes together as a whole

I sent my list in earlier this morning.
My criteria for song to make my list? These had to be songs that I love and they had to stand up on repeated listenings--Pentiums didn't make my cut because as much as I like that song, I am finding that it seems dated to me and its not aging very well. Parodies on the list were ones I felt were excellent homages to the original artist (and consequently, these are skewed to other artists I like and listen to a lot) The polkas listed I felt were superior because of what songs were chosen and the order they ended up in.
Anyway my two pence. Still don't have my Scranton photos uploaded. I need a clone to go do my job so I can do stuff that I find more entertaining because I just don't have time to do both

Looking forward to the photos Jackie. I so enjoyed meeting you at Scranton.
(Have to disagree about Pentiums though!

I'm glad we're getting a full countdown; I thought we'd just get to know the top 20 songs.

There were a ton more songs on the countdown than I expected, so I thought about cutting it short, but then I figured, it's a lot more fun (for me) to drag it out as long as possible and make you all wait.
