To DVD, or not to DVD?

Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

There was a DVD video release put out in after BHD (in 1997, I believe) but that just had the videos up through BHD. The Live DVD contained the videos from RWS. TUVC is the most complete set at this point, though of course with all the videos from SOL, it's not complete anymore.

I know that The Complete Al isn't all of his videos, just all videos made up to that point, along with new footage (which gives it rerelease value over the other music video compilations, if it ever gets a DVD release). And I have the Alapalooza and Bad Hair Day music videos, and Bad Hair Day is from 1996 (I got my copy in 1996).

I'm going to add this here, even though this thread is incredibly old, but anyways.

I just watched Al's "LIVE" dvd, and really enjoyed it. Even though I had just seen him in concert about a month ago. Now granted, I was watching the LIVE dvd on a 7.1 surround sound system and an 8 ft screen, so it was almost like being there! Nevertheless I found it to be really well produced and with fantastic sound pumping through every speaker.

I would love for Al to release a new DVD of his performances, but obviously, as its been stated numerous times here already, a new set list and gag/acts would have to be brought in, otherwise, it would be incredibly redundant.

Though having laid fresh eyes on this old product, I thought it was very well put together, and I could easily sit through it again. I for one am crossing my fingers, I would love to have more of his performances captured forever on Blu-Ray, DVD or whatever else is on the horizon. But until then. . .I guess I can wait.

I think there's a good chance they'll have a new live DVD available when Al does his next tour.
This means something. This is important.

I hope "Like A Surgeon" eventually went into the medley. The ORIGINAL version. During the opening beeps he could slip on the hat, shirt, and pants quickly.

KOS had a video?

Also, if Al had a fake hamster on stage, he could do HTWH.

Well, Canyon Records put together a sorta-generic slideshow video for the song for the Japanese "Eat It" video compilation.

He should release something that's like got both LIVE! if he did another. Also, he should do what pear jam did and record every show and sell the dvd. Then, the Star Plaza Theater is always a great show for them and a great audience.

Why is that we aren't getting AL-TV again? Music rights?
