You can "drive the route" with Google maps Street level view so you can get used to the look of the nearby junctions and landmarks.Ambra @ Jul 15 2008, 04:35 AM wrote: If anyone is interested and needs to make hotel reservations, the Days Inn Columbus Fairgrounds is $65 a night through hotels.com and is only 3 miles from the LC Pavillion on Neil Ave, according to the Rand-McNally site. I'm going to call to make sure it's actually that close to the venue before I make my reservation but it sounds like a good place to stay, especially if you just need a place to crash after the concert. If anyone wants to share a room and split the costs, let me know.
I'm getting both excited and nervous about this concert, nervous because I've never driven to Ohio before. I get a little anxious when I have to drive an unfamiliar route like this but I can't pass up another chance to see Al, especially with fourth row seats!
Well, when I called when I first got the tickets, I was told it was left up to the artist. After Jon complimented me on my Richmond pics, I told him I was bringing my camera to Columbus and since I'd be in the fourth row, I thought I'd get even better pics this time. He said to let him know how it goes with that so I would think if Al was not permitting photos at this venue, Jon would know about it. I have a feeling that the message you got was the standard cookie-cutter reply they send to everyone who inquires about pictures so they don't have to take the time to send individual emails about each individual artist.smbbyz73 @ Jul 16 2008, 02:16 PM wrote: I wrote to Promo West about the photos and their reply was "Unfortunately per artist and management no photography will be permitted."
That does NOT sound right! I wonder if they just made up any old answer to get it over with or didn't pay attention to who I was writing about!
