I knew my hubby, Ian, was the one for me because I met him in alt.music.weird-al (and because he not only likes Al, he thinks like Al! He's a comedy writer and completely wacky.)
I think Ian considered himself a pretty big Al fan until he met me and realized exactly how far an Al-obsession could go. He's been very good about tolerating my Al drooling, despite my eldest daughter yelling, "Ian! Mom's looking at Al porn!" every time I read the Drool Topic or the Concert Photos Topic.
Mmmm, Al porn. Anyway, I figure Ian doesn't care who gets me warmed up as long as he gets to drive me.
Personally, I think Al provides an invaluable service to AlGals' bfs/hubs.
