I do a security job where I have to patrol the site in a car all night and I have found the best way to help the time pass by quicker is to pop in Weird Al CDs as the night goes by. Plus, that way my albums all get a good listening rotation.

although Al's music for just about anything I find it really helpful when I have housework - though I end up jumping around to the music instead of actually "doing" anything! lol
"Trash Day" is funny to clean to

"It's not that bad Al!! really! I'm cleaning up, honest!"

I listen to Al while I'm cleaning, and once I even listened to "Trapped in the Drive-Thru" while I was trying to calm my nerves before going to bed (I must have been having some roommate trouble that night because it made me feel so much better after listening to it! Now my roommate is gone (because she didn't have any real final) and I have a single room for a whole week, then I move into a new room because my roommate is going abroad!)

I do something like that - I listen to Al while reading the book and after a while, it sounds like he's singing the words in the book, which helps me read it.
I also listen to Al to try to get to sleep, but I always fall asleep before I can turn him off, so I always end up listening to him through the night which always leads to either him showing up in my dreams, or the song that's playing I hear in my dream.

When I was in the hospital a few years ago, PH had just come out and I listened to it almost non-stop.

I work in a bank and it can be oh-so-very-dull at times. Yesterday I snuck in my SOL and RWS cds (sssshhhhhh) and listened to them non-stop. Made the day fly by but it was a bit hard to concentrate with "Weasel Stomping Day" playing softly in the background!
Only one person commented "this doesn't sound like Christmas Carols!" I guess I shoulda brought in Christmas at Ground Zero instead huh?

hee hee hee, haa ha *snorts* I listen to Al on my headphones at work, normally I'm just staring at the screen but sometimes people walk by and I've got this ridiculous distorted grin on my face. They must think I'm nuts O-)

I don't know, maybe they would've liked The Night Santa Went Crazy better.
