Great show last night. Yeah, for anyone that was also there, you probably noticed the signs my friends and I were holding up. We also painted our chests, I had the "L" in Al.
Anyways, after the show, we waited for about an hour next to the fence (Steve showed up and signed a few autographs mean while), then somebody came and informed us that Al was not going to sign autographs that night. Regardless of what the guy said, everyone still waited patiently in front of the fence, and then Al finally showed up, went inside his bus for about 1 or 2 minutes, and then came back out to sign autographs. I finally got one.

Yeah I noticed you. I also noticed how your sign blocked my view of the stage quite a few times. I hope that entered your mind. I was tempted to go down and throw it in that trash can. I almost got my mom to throw her empty bottle of water at you, too.

The heat was pretty bad,
Seeing the concert in sign language was pretty neat.
Accordion mom, I was looking for you but didn't see you.
Nice business cards though. I will be ready for king's island. We will make up all the signs we didn't get here.
Well.... as you might have already read....I wasn't there. We had to leave at about 5 pm, I guess. I'm guessing the heat was the reason my family and I didn't get to stay for the concert. My 14 year old was not feeling well. (Thanks for the well-wishes, all, he is fine today!)
SIGN LANGUAGE????!!!!! Man! That would have been so cool! I've had 3 courses and have been contemplating getting my certificate and later being an interpreter. IT JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE! Al came out, Suzanne was there....Sign Language...UG!
I'm glad the business cards came out okay. They're handy!
Let's hope the heat lets up by the 18th! I don't want to miss another concert! I had something for someone and KI will be my last chance this tour!
Why no signatures? Greg.....did ANYONE get any? I don't get it. I'll check the other thread. This isn't the place.

I'm so sorry your son got sick. This heat is terrible. I couldn't imagine having been out in it for too long. It was pretty hot here in MI as well. Do not apologize about not getting signatures. Your son comes first. You'll get more at KI.
For you and your son.
Thanks for those kind words, Patti! If it were Kings Island, I could have taken him home and returned, but we didn't have a hotel in Columbus, and it was a 2 hour ride.
Here's something else that is just eating me up....I found out today from the lady I drive to dialysis that her daughter, son-in-law and their two girls were at the fair - and they had a hotel. ... I know them well enough to trust my son with them, and I know they are the type of people who wouldn't have thought twice about helping out... UG UG UG
Or.... they could have used our tickets... They're an accordion family, too! (I take lessons from the lady I drive. Her ex-husband used to have an accordion band.)
This is just making me sick inside....
You're right, Patti ..... my son comes first. Sacrifices we make for our children come in all forms!

Yes, quite a few actually, a couple hundred or so. I'll have a post ready in the Rock Hall thread in a few minutes.

Actually, that would have been nice. It was a pretty hot day, I could have filled it up with water.

Is it just me or did this concert fly by?! Maybe it's because it was the second one I went to this year and kinda knew what to expect. It was still awesome!!! "Bob" is one of my favorites and I'm so glad I got to see Al perform it. And he told all of us he loves us
I think I might have passed by a couple of wowayers with clipboards at the entrance. I would've stopped to say "hi", but it's been so long since I've posted that I wasn't sure if anyone would have a clue who I was! I signed the petition in Kettering, and I'd sign a million times if it would help!
I didn't get to hang around to get an autograph, I came with family that had to work pretty early the next day. I did bring my copy of "The Compleat Al" just in case, you never know!

Can't wait for Kings Island!!!!!!

That was indeed a great concert. I really enjoyed every minute of it, though it sucked that WBUL got cut. I'm not sure why Al didn't do it, but hopefully it will be in the setlist at Youngstown.
