You're probably right, Genius. I unfortuneatly do not have Permanent Record and I guess never will since it's out of print. I wish I had it, simply because I want to read that booklet. It sounds very interesting. If only somebody made a transcript of it online.
I bought some batteries but they weren't included, so I bought them again.

Um, that's not a sample of Black Dog. That's Al's band playing the song. Jimmy Page gave Al permission to allow his band to record that segment of the song. Pretty impressive, eh?
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Yeah, that's what I meant by "sample". I guess I should have worded that differently. Thanks for clearing that up, Patti. Yeah, they did do a good job recording that sgement.

I just thought of one.

The Presidents of the United Sates of America liked Gump so much that a few times in concert they changed the last line in the song to "And that's al I have to say about that."

Years ago I secretly would wish that Al would tour with The Presidents. That would have been an excellent line-up.

I also remember seeing Al perform on one of the Dick Clark New Years' specials after BHD came out. He performed "Gump", and they kept showing the Presidents in the audience. They were really rocking out and laughing the entire time.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

And then there was the time the lead singer of Presidents Of The United States signed our forum's petition to get Weird Al in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. I hear James Blunt signed it too. Is that true? If so, wow!

Taylor Hicks sang replaced the words, "Do I make you proud?" with "Do I creep you out?" a few times during this rehearsal.
Begone, foul beast!
