Just a thought, but does anyone know when Taylor's debut album is set to be released? If it comes out before September 26th, maybe Al was able to obtain an advance copy of the single and record a parody based on that. I know it's not likely, but I'm grasping at other possibilities here.

As for the polka idea, I really doubt that he'd do a polka medley of that nature. If he's going to do a polka of a single artist, it'll be someone who's already well-established as a star, like the Stones or Queen. Also, the Mothership isn't like Bill Plympton's blog or Chamillionaire's mailing list. If Al says it's a parody, you can bet it will be a parody.

That's a great guess. :)

I looked and I can't find anything about an album anywhere though. The studio might be timing a release with the next AI.

Although they could also buy up Taylor's most recent "indie" album and throw it out there for a quick fix and a single could come from there.

So it's certainly something to think of

I thought I had heard something a while ago about the album coming out this Fall, but I don't remember when.

But after searching online, Ruben Studdard's debut album came out the December after his season. The next two winners, Fantasia and Carrie Underwood both had November releases. So if Hicks' album is set for a similar release, then I guess my idea is pretty unlikely. :(

I haven't heard a set release date for Taylor's album, but since I haven't heard about him going into the recording studio, and I'm pretty sure the Idols tour goes until mid to late September, the album probably won't come out until December or later.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Hey, what about Al parodying Taylor Hicks doing the Ford commercial ("possibilities")? It could be short like LMBYH and HTWH, and it could be a small gag.

On second thought, probably not so good an idea.
:F

If we are voting, I'd vote for DIMYP as the subject of the parody.

It pretty much has to be DIMYP logically. I mean, that doesn't mean it has to be 100 percent, definitely, 'I bet my life on it,' but DIMYP was the hit that made it to number 1 on multiple Billboard charts this summer.

Another suggestion for the title of the parody: "I Hate Simon Cowell"

Taylor's album hasn't been announced yet, but it's looking like at least November.

Yeah, that definitely is a possibility but Al already sang about Simon Cowell in Couch Potato. It was only one small bit, but it was still there.
