I decided to post this info in here, too, even though it's also posted in the weirdal.com chit chat topic. The very first question in the new Ask Al is about EMHE. Al tells about the whole experience, and there are even more lyrics to the polka song he sang for Amanda Goodale. I was happy to hear he thought it went well. He made me feel better after reading what he had to say about it.

I stand by what I said above. Nothing inappropriate aat all about how Amanda acted. She even had a smile on her face and was giggling. Al and the host played a practical joke on her and she fell for it.

I guess I was a little thin-skinned about the not cool comment. To read what Al said kinda made me see the events in a different light. I didn't exactly say Amanda was inappropriate, I was just a little hurt, thinking she didn't like the song.

I liked the little song he did. I didn't really think much about Amanda's reaction, I was paying more attention to Al. I thought it was a funny joke getting polka confused with polka dots.

So over all I liked the show.

EDIT: Before I watched the show, I was hoping that Al would surprise someone who was a fan. But oh well it worked out.

too bad the final cut didnt include any of his "antics" running around annoying people (read new Ask Al)

Hmm, well, maybe if the EMHE folks find out we'd like to see all that extra footage, they'll post it. You never know...

Watching it again, I saw everyone laughing during the song, especially the younger sister. I was less upset about that last comment, too. Al was just too cute!

I still want him to write a polka for me.

LOL! Amanda's face craks me up when he says, "You're into polka"!
