LAUGHTER IS A POWERFUL WEAPON VOL. 2 RAISES $1841.55 FOR HURRICANE KATRINA VICTIMS
Burbank, CA - The loosely knit comedy music organization known as Funny Musicians, led by Grant Baciocco, has made it's first donation of proceeds from the sales of it's CD Laughter Is A Powerful Weapon Vol. 2 to the American Red Cross on July 27, 2006. The donated amount was $1841.55. This money will go to the continuing efforts to help rebuild those area affected by the Hurricanes last year.
The CD, which features the very best in comedy music including a rare track by Superstar "Weird Al Yankovic" has sold over 150 copies since it's release in December of 2005. The CD is still showing strong sales monthly as new fans discover the CD.
The groups first CD, Laughter Is A Powerful Weapon Vol. 1 also saw a resurgence of sales when Vol. 2 was released. Volume 1 has raised $2,452.25 to benefit the Twin Towers Orphan Fund to aid those children who's parents were victims of the September 11th attacks.
