Hmm, well, according to what Al said when he was on the Tom Green show, they take a vegematic slicey-dicey type thing, and slice the top of your eye, then peel it back, shoot laser beams into it, and then fold it back over again. He said it sounds horrible, but that it's painless. He also said they put conctact lenses into your eyes to help them heal faster. I wasn't at that AlCon, but that's what I remember from that interview Al did. Hope that helps!

Well actually he didn't know that they had put contacts in his eye, so when he was reading a magazine he felt the contact fall out of his eye, and he felt it land on his, and he thought his eye was falling apart!

Poor Al. They should've told him they put contacts in to help, not have them fall out, have Al think his eyes were falling out, and scaring him.

Yeah...anyway...AlCon memories, people. You know, I was very nervous performing at the Lip Synch contest last time.

I did "Cavity Search" which now is an anthem for a certain summer. I based my costume off of the costume Al wears for it during BHT. Instead of a microphone since it was lip synching, I had a toothbrush!

Which is probably now somewhere in garbage landfill because I accidently left it in my hotel room somewhere...or it got lost. I dunno.

I had Bob as my stupid dentist next to me, who was too tall when I tried to drill him. Note to self: Next time think about the height issue.

I definitely loved talking to Bermuda backstage afterwards.

"You know, we've talked so many times now, I feel like an old friend and I'm old."

Silly Bermuda, you're not old.

hehe, CB and Brian were great! I was in the Gong Show myself. Did a stand-up comedy routine all about my daughter, and how cute and funny she was. I posted the whole thing somewhere in here. Maybe I could find it, or get some help? Anyway, I took third place! It was a lot of fun! The best: Al smiled during my act! Ah, memories....

Man! Alcons sound like soooo much fun!
You know what? A lot of people curse their late fandom, and yeah...that really stinks! But what also stinks is having been a crazy, mega-huge fan while those Alcons were going on, and still not being able to go! So, I'd like to take a moment to curse my age!!!
Curse late fandom and curse being too young to do anything!!!

I was lucky enough for AlCon 3 to have even that Friday off from school and that my parents drove us to Chicago. It became a special day for my dad too because he got to meet Al too. :-)
