By "cracked" I mean zany in the lovable Al way. Although having a pic of Al with a spiderweb or two of broken glass across it mightn't look bad (as long as it didn't obscure him too badly). I think that there was a bit in the UHF video clip where he was punching at the camera and cracked it. Maybe I could use that.

That would be the Billy Idol bit in the UHF video.

Actually during the Billy Idol segment all Al did was remove some piece of cloth from around his neck and did a couple of sneers.

The bit I was referring to was the bit where he did the INXS visual parody.

hmm, well, he didnt smash glass during the INXS bit. Bobbi's right. He was dressed as Billy Idol, then he punched some glass. There were points near the end of the video where they went back and showed clips of the different characters you saw for a little longer earlier. All he did for the INXS send-up was the thing with the cards, which was a tribute to Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues".

I admit I was wrong, then. Although I read in the little booklet in the DVD case and the Permanent Record biography that he did Randy Newman in the clip. I didn't spot that.

When he's driving in the caddy with the redhead, he is spoofing "I Love L.A.", which is a Randy Newman song.

Back on topic...

I made this brilliant 27 avatar (based on some animation of the 24 logo) but recently the computer which has the images on it has been stuffing me round. And I've done signature images that match the Simpsons avatars of Al's band (e.g. one for Al, Bermuda, Steve etc) - once I get the hosting I'll show you.

I finally added the avatars you guys and gals designed to an Avatar Gallery in the Newbie Zone.

If you don't see one you submitted, check and make sure it's still where you told me it was. A few of the image links in this topic were broken, so I obviously couldn't add those. Send me the fixed image or repost it here and I'll add it. Feel free to design more and I'll move them over to the Avatar Gallery as well.

Thanks! Added it. They're all hosted on my site, so I don't have to worry about any broken image links in the Avatar Gallery.
