Actually, I heard it was spelled "risqué". (With an accent mark). Am I right?

I don't remember-- I do have a trophy, though, that says I was once the best middle-school-age speller in three counties. 8)

Yes, you're right, but I'm not gonna take a point off :) for the accent mark because they're so hard to do in this forum. (the only way I know is to cut & paste 'em from somewhere else)

Or if you actually remembered the things to do them. I only have a few of those things memorized and sometimes I'm just too darn lazy to do them.

OE, did you ever compete in the National Spelling Bee? I made it in 8th grade, and it was a blast. Of course, the trip to DC was better than the Bee itself. :)

ALT 0233 will give you the é as in Rubén.

ALT 0169 is ©

And that's all I know from memory.

Actually I use ALT+130 for é.

é ¿ and © are the only symbols I've memorized.

Hey, congratulations! Getting to DC's pretty cool!

No, my school didn't compete in the National Spelling Bee. The one I was in was sponsored by the local newspaper. I was in it for three years running; I won for my school and my county all three years, and the second year I won the tri-county.

Why do I hear Bruce Springsteen's "Glory Days?" Actually, OE I would imagine that you might still be the best speller...

And this topic has just officially jumped the shark. :dontgetit:

I dunno about that... I don't think that my lucky knee socks still fit. :lookround:

Oh, okay. Knowing that there are video-game sounds in WBUL just makes it that much more brilliant to me... another subtle layering on the not-as-suave-as-I'm-trying-to-seem theme. Is that better? 8)

Actually, I don't think this topic jumped the shark... it just jumped the tracks. Derailed!
