Well, these are not all of the dates. This is just the first batch. Many, many more dates will likely be added, so there very well could be shows in your area.

Cornell could definitely afford Al. I was talking about Ithaca College.
So far this year alone Cornell has had Motion City Soundtrack, The Strokes, Trey Anastasio, and Twista. All of these would be awesome shows but I was in LA at the time. Getting to meet Al twice and see him play live once all for free was way cooler than seeing all those acts anyway.
In the meantime, Ithaca College has had no acts, so hopefully they are saving up their budget for one big show. Either way, how often has Al played at college venues in the past and what kinds of schools has he played at?

I did mention initially that Ithaca was a 2 college town

I don't know (beyond SLO?) if AL's done college stuff before. I know that the bigger shows at Cornell do tend to be open to the public, but sometimes smaller ones are for students only, so this may be why he doesn't do them often (at all?)

If Al played at Cornell it would most likely be open to the public. The only time they do students only shows is on Slope Day, the weekend after classes finish. They tend to pull in the biggest names possible for that. Previous acts have included Snoop Dogg and Kanye West. I don't really think Al is the type of act they would go for on that day, but even if they did I have friends at Cornell who could get me student tickets.

HA, my liver is a past victim of Slope Day. I doubt Al would be up for that.

But I do think he'd fill out Barton Hall nicely....

I've gone to shows by myself before (I have no Weird Al-loving, liking or even listening friends) and met other fans there. I'll probably be doing that for the OC fair dates.

County fairs and theme parks? These sound like small venues. I thought all the exposure Al's gotten with SOL and W&N would have given him cred to play some larger places. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong.

Not all theme park and county fairs are small venues.

Some amusement parks have fairly good sized theaters, others don't. I suspect Al has outgrown the little stage at Hershey Park since he passed that one over for Poodle Hat. Same for fairs...some palces are tiny, and others, well...there's a fair held at the Meadowlands ever year, and that would be the same venue that huge acts sell out for multiple days. Larger fairs regularly attract major acts all over the place. I've never been tot he OC fair, but I suspect its a shot larger than the sterotypical image that you may have for "county fair"

As Jackie said, not all of these venues are small. He played at Kings Island in Cincinnati on the PH Tour and that was a regular-sized amphitheater. Plus, these are only some of the venues he'll be playing. There could definitely be some larger ones announced later.
