I don't think Al would consider touring AGAIN without an album, so he must be thinking the album is being released early next year.

The Australia tour next year seems like the perfect way to break in the actual album tour, like Al did in 2007.

I dunno why not. He toured this summer with half an internet album out. What's changed? Other than the release of the Essentials?
