This is very good news indeed. It takes about six weeks for an album to be pressed and released after it's in the can, and Al has proven with "Whatever You Like" that he can write, record and finish a parody in as little as a week if he needs to. At literally ANY MOMENT, we could get word that it's only two months away. Waiting for this album has been like passing a kidney stone, but now with the album cover shot and the whole album mastered (save for one track), we are getting VERY very close.

No, no. In this part of the internet, we use little things called "words".

Yes, Fred...but that does all depend on the time lapse between when Al contacts an artist for permission for said parody and when they finally get back to him...who knows how long that could take with this one...I'm sure Al is monitoring the Billboard charts right now (as us fans should be as well) but the charts don't really seem to be giving him that much to work with, IMHO...but still, here's hoping the album is released by the time Al returns to Australia...

Al was able to contact T.I., get permission, write and record the parody while the original was still #1. Why wouldn't he be able to do such a thing again?

Consider the overall popularity of "Whatever You Like" within the Weird Al fan community, and that's why the lead single will probably not be written and recorded in a week.

So I'm the only one who likes it?

Bummer. :lookaround:
